Malta has been hit by a cluster of earthquakes recently. 14 in total, the last one registering at 4.9 just this morning. I am obviously in the wrong business. The amount of money I could have made!

The earthquake and his response to it is the perfect encapsulation of the Evans experience.

The in-law’s place outside Sisak is in one of the more poverty stricken areas of what is one of the top three poorest nations in the EU. Only Bulgaria and Romania are poorer. As a general rule of thumb, the areas of Croatia near the borders of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the worst off. They were and still are suffering from the worst of the Yugoslav Wars and development is hampered by “no-go” areas of landmines. The village of Gornje Komarevo where they live/lived is only 30 minutes from the Bosnian border.

To place what happened into a true English speaking parlance, basically a tornado blew the tarp off their trailer in Oklahoma. Instead of going to Cousin Billy’s farm or the Tulsa Motor Inn, wifey wanted to go the Gulf Coast of Florida because she felt “safer”.

And since exJWs were fooled into thinking they were so needy, they had enough money not only for the stay, but to also look into purchasing a beach home.

They should really take a bow for that con. Well played, but unfortunate for them that hubby is such a self-pitying dipshit. It is highly doubtful it will ever be replicated especially by them or by any other “activist” YouTuber who finds themselves in need. If that’s the only lesson that is learnt from the actions of these two clowns, alright then.

I don’t know who you are however you are clearly someone who knows Lloyd very very very well.

I’ve never met him nor ever had any desire to. I shouldn’t deem to opine that I had him pegged from the beginning, so let’s just say when he released his pic things became a lot clearer. I can see how a man who looked like that and possessed his personality would be so defensive about everything, especially matters concerning his wife. If you plug the 10 tenets of Cedars Law into any JLE social media post, you’ll have all the clairvoyants and fortune tellers beat as to what he is trying to accomplish and what he will do next.

The Ten Tenets of Cedars Law

Never back down from an argument until opposing parties either give up out of exhaustion or are silenced. Attack immediately and hit them hard with snarky replies and words you found in a thesaurus to throw them off or to intimidate. Repeat ad nauseam that you do not give into “bullies” and that it only makes you fight back harder. (Think of the plot of The Karate Kid. He’s like Daniel but with no Mr Miyagi to train and guide him)
Take every opportunity to hide behind your wife and children. Use them as human shields. If you feel you are being attacked, stress just how upset your wife is. Disseminate false tales such as your children not being able to be cared for by both parents, a ruined Christmas, unaffordable haircuts, etc. because someone said something negative about husband/daddy on social media.
(The Producer Bob Rule) Assert that there have been attempts by exJWs to sabotage you. This can include hi-jacked livestreams, poor book reviews, burner accounts, Reddit mods or Simon Green. Always end with the maxim that most of the opposition to your work comes not from Watchtower, but from exJWs themselves.
Claim depression and suicidal thoughts and identify the people you feel are responsible. Supply as few details as possible to intentionally keep things vague in order to keep people genuinely worried. See Rule #5.
Recruit and routinely provoke a brainwashed and thoroughly loyal goon squad. The less intelligent and more pathetic, the better. These people will be easy triggered into attacking the folks you identify online as you quietly disengage so you look like the innocent party. Pop into the conversation as needed to lamely quip that people are obsessed with you and/or your penis.
Threaten to leave for good. You mean it this time. Use contrived scare tactics that WT will win if you are eliminated as a paid activist. Continuously hint but provide zero details of another career where you could be earning as much if not more money and you are doing exJWs a huge favour by staying in. Reiterate you are not begging for money before providing several links for people to pay you.
Consistently plead poverty. Feed into the narrative that you are living on a limited income and donations are only barely getting you by. Disguise your solo and family holidays as activism. Pick up no cheques, encourage all to chip in to fund these holidays and other endeavours. If this doesn’t work, see Rule #6.
(The Mark O’Donnell Rule) Engage talented exJWs and delegate many important tasks to them. DO NOT PAY OR COMPENSATE THEM IN ANY WAY. Their compensation is simply the allure of being associated with you. They are allowed to participate in side projects but they must always thank you for waking them up, being their mentor, or promote your videos.
Compare your critics to WT or JWs as much as possible. Key terms: “JW mindset”, “you’d make a good elder”, “judgmental”, and “same kind of logic I witnessed at the Kingdom Hall”. Use a touch of creativity and a thesaurus to avoid repeating the same words over and over again.
(The Mike Rinder Law) If options 1-9 are not successful, this is your final option. WARNING: Only utilise this if your content is stale and your financial support is drying up. Have Mike Rinder on your channel or go on his for an interview. Talk about Scientology for at least an hour. Keep talking about the Leah Remini special you were on like two war buddies. NOTE: Rinder can be substituted out for anyone with a larger following than yours who still doesn’t mind appearing with you. This is a desperate play for relevance.

He has won in the past through relentlessly restating his view and pushing his agenda until others simply give up in exhaustion. That’s clearly been his strategy again over the past year. Will it work this time?

His strategies have evolved over time. The livestream was his “go-to” solution for so long - Fight back immediately and hit them hard. He just had to respond to the Reddit post within the same day. And it had cost him dearly. He really did expect people to turn on Kim and shout her to the very fringes of the community. People he had counted on in the past to back him unconditionally started thinking for themselves.

As soon as he saw how badly it backfired and seeing that he lost 100 patrons almost overnight, he farmed it out to his goon squad whilst he hid behind the facade of someone supposedly contemplating suicide. That month of February into early March was brutal. His goons stalked the same people with the exact same talking points: “These are consenting adults! Seeing prostitutes is not a crime! And they are called “sex workers” you bigot! And it’s none of your business anyway!”. For the first time this failed. Even his reappearances to insult and intimidate people became instant ratios. The trolls became the trolled and even his goon squad started blocking people. He must have been on wit’s end trying to figure out why this had all changed for him and so quickly.

By April he knew he had a problem that wasn’t going to be solved by setting his goons loose on people. So he saw an opening with Andrew Gold and decided to take it. He was bringing this to the secular media and they were going to tell these former JWs they were being judgmental bigots. The exJWs had adjudicated him as guilty, so he wanted an outsider to tell us how wrong we were. That backfired so badly Gold made two of his own rebuttal videos within the week plus had gotten a forensic psychologist to diagnose him as a sociopathic narcissist.

In May he switched strategies yet again. He was not only going to sue but he was expecting a verdict soon. He said as much. This was a slam dunk case, and at worst he’d be getting default judgments. LeBron with a clear path the the rim. Right, Karlo? Karlo?

He took on the role of public prosecutor during the summer and this lasted all the way to when he went after Jake. He was vicious. Threatened lawsuits, called people criminals, picked fights on Twitter. But he became a caricature of himself. A pathetic buffoon who had completely lost the plot. And he was bleeding badly, no matter how much he tried to butter it up to his remaining supporters.

It was when his Patrons dropped below 50% that he realised what he was doing wasn’t working. He had to drop the act that he was doing alright and people for the most part were still supporting him. In December he created the YouTube memberships. Last month he started outright begging. This represents another change in strategy. It worked for him two weeks ago in giving his long hoped for bump, but at what cost? The end of month Patron drops are still continuing at round -20, and last month he had to really beg and threaten to quit in order to forestall the hemorrhaging.

At this rate he’s going to have to do this every month, and therein lies the risk. It’ll further expose him as the grifter he is if he keeps on saying he’ll shut down if he doesn’t get more financial support. From this point on it will only get more pathetic, especially when he hasn’t improved his content.

He’s really backed himself into a corner with this, and he’s already played the last decent card he had in the New Year.

When the 6.4 struck I was in my “bunker.” Everything began shaking violently so I ran outside in my socks without pausing to put on my shoes. From the garden I could see my house jolting violently as the ground moved beneath me – a very distressing experience especially when you know your wife and two children are inside!
I ran to the steps to pick up Jessica as she emerged with her grandfather. At about the same time Dijana came down the stairs holding Julia as the tremors began to subside. We all stood outside stunned for a while before deciding to move over the road to an asphalt communal space – a safe distance from the buildings in case of aftershocks.
We spent the next hour or so camped out in the car trying to assess the situation. A neighbor kindly made a makeshift repair to our chimney, part of which was left hanging precariously. A nearby house was less fortunate as a huge chunk of exterior wall collapsed completely.
Gradually news came through that neighboring Petrinja had been decimated and Sisak severely damaged. We live equidistant to both. It’s stressful to make decisions with the adrenaline still pumping but I asked Dijana to pick a spot anywhere in Croatia where she thought we might be safer. She chose Istria, so I booked us an AirBnB and we drove the 180 km through heavy rain. (Incidentally they felt the quake here too but obviously not as violently.)

Bit of an odd passage, especially the part where he’s standing safely outside, yet relates how it was a “very distressing experience” to witness the house violently shaking with his wife and children in it. Shouldn’t he have run inside to grab then instead of waiting for the elderly in-law to bring the daughter out? But instead it’s a “distressing experience” for him watching the house shake.

So Dijana chose Istria as a safe place to flee to which also happened to be the site of their many holidays to the Croatian coast and is a tourist area. Whew, as long as they’re safe! I just want to make it known that if my chimney is ever damaged in an earthquake, I would feel a lot safer in the south of France.

He also enlisted Tony Ortega, a Scientology critic and journalist to help fund their escape from a damaged chimney:

FYI: Tony Ortega has 39.4K Twitter followers. By comparison, Lloyd has 12.8K followers, so he was finding from two sources: former JWs and Scientologists. He did quite well and paid for way more than the rented villa. He soon after started looking at homes in Istria, so do the math as to what would lead them to do that.

When he stated that he did not use Patreons funds in Thailand, it’s entirely possible. He might have just been misusing earthquake relief funds instead.

No mention of any neighbours he had helped with the excess money. In fact it was the neighbour who helped stabilize the chimney! Like everything else related to this grift, Lloyd simply pocketed what had to be in the tens of thousands worth of excess donations.

The survey was insane. So many loaded questions like “Do you believe in the blood doctrine? If so, are you in agreement that young children who cannot make decisions for themselves should put their lives on the line?”

Sure. Kids dying, I totally fucking support that. $400 for these questions? This is why people go to college and learn how to take real surveys.

He’d be laser focused on who was responding. In the early days he’d excitedly report results back here. “I have received 8 responses from the anointed and 6 are negative toward the WT! If the anointed are turning against WT, this means their days are numbered!”

First, anointed people, particularly those outside Bethel and especially those without any privileges like women are known to be more critical of the organisation than the rank and file JW. I knew of an anointed sister who practically demanded to be allowed to sit in on elders meetings.

Secondly, I was one of the “anointed” to reply. Myself and a few friends here loved to fuck his survey up just to see if he’d come back with a huge find like he was Indiana Jones closing in on the lost ark. Think I said I was an anointed Circuit Overseer or something.

If there were a box for gay Governing Body member I would have clicked that. That’s how stupid the survey was.

She was certainly aware of the flow of cash that has been generating over the years. And the BMW. And the paid holidays. And the 5 star hotel.

A lot of the explanations of her behaviour and why she seems to just shrug off the abuse from Lloyd all these years seem to be centred round her culture. I get it, Croatian culture is patriarchal in nature and the man’s voice carries more weight than the woman’s. Fucked up and you’d think someone who is so tuned into environmental issues and animal rights as she is would stop to think about her rights as a wife, a woman, and a human being, not to mention the protective instinct as a daughter of elderly parents for protect THEM from HIM. That’s a huge disconnect there, especially seeing him regularly threaten them with withholding the grandchildren. Who’s acting like the JW here? And who is acting like the JW WIFE?

My question for her is in what culture is it NOT considered extremely rude and discourteous to accept $15K from strangers halfway round the world for a free & all expense paid holiday? That was just the amount that was not covered by donations.

If a family member pulls out $15K and says they are sending me on holiday, I tell them NO. Thanks but keep your money. Now that’s a family member. If a stranger or “online friend” offers the same, I really protest.

Really, in what culture is this OK? Gypsy? Any Gypsies here? Am I being harsh?

That’s a good point, especially 10 years ago when his Croatian couldn’t have consisted much more than hello, goodbye and I would like two Big Macs, an extra large fries and large Coke. So in the KH when they were still both attending or at least she was, she HAD to have been the one communicating with the other JWs they were farming the work out to. She also had to have known what they were charging and how much they were profiting on the work of others. And how did the elders catch onto this if someone had not complained to them about their business practices?

I remember when Lloyd was saying on the livestream that his wife did not want to be seen as a victim. Probably because she wasn’t a victim, but rather an active participant.

Wow look who just got promoted, and just in time for the one year anniversary of her husband telling the world that he has no mastery of his penis in all affairs except one - his wife! That’s some action he has no problem staying away from. Dijana Evans - great wife, mother, and assistant producer, horrible fuck.

I would have suggested she start her own OnlyFans page had she wanted to debase herself for money. But working for her comprised husband as he continues his work in CSA will do.

Simon was practically snatching the food off of Lloyd's table!

He threw a tonne of shade at him, all for not replying right away to his desperate emails asking whether an exception be made for him to be allowed to crowdfund on this site.

I appreciate Daniel's support, and I have already received a very kind donation of $25. I was hoping the funding issue would be resolved very quickly and we could press on with getting the survey some publicity etc, but it seems my ambitions have been choked by red tape at the first hurdle...

If you don't think that the survey is any good, or that it won't add value to JWN for a business perspective then that's fine - I'll go elsewhere and find another way of doing it. However given the way I'm being treated on this by site management I don't feel too inclined to post the results here if it is a success, I would rather go somewhere where the data is valued.

Always threatening to take his talents elsewhere if he doesn't get his way. Good Lord.

He’s clearly got a skill for getting people to send him money for very little effort. He’s got begging down to a fine art.

And it was demonstrated for all to see in his early days here. A bit of context, he had started three threads for that survey idea that he said costed him $400. He made no qualms about assuming the posters here would/should reimburse him and even provided PayPal info on the thread. Those threads were removed to "Admin" and left for Simon to decide since it broke a rule about asking for money. So, Lloyd had a supporter open a new thread asking the same thing, and he joins in complaining that he is not allowed to fund here. Link for the thread:

The way I see it, the survey adds value to JWN and is a valuable resource to its members, but I am forced to pay for it out of my own pocket and am not allowed to ask for any help in financing it.

He immediately labels his survey as some sort of public service to the forum and not only complains about paying for it but also references his removed threads and thinks he should be able to crowdfund through this site.

I've had to pay out of my own pocket to get the survey up and running. Both the forum and forum members benefit from the survey and from seeing the results, and yet apparently I am not allowed to ask for help in funding it?
It may sound picky, but I don't see why I should continue to post the results, thereby allowing the forum to get the benefit of the results for free, when I am not allowed to receive any help with the funding? And over such a relatively small amount of $400... it's a shame.

Pro-tip - if you say "this may sound picky, but...", it means it is. He really feels he is doing a public service and actually wants to withhold the results until he gets what he wants and is reimbursed $400. And he's even spiteful towards the forum, opining that we shouldn't "benefit" from the survey results if we haven't contributed. Further proof he doesn't do anything for free and he needs to be compensated in full. It explains how he's able to continue this grift as he manipulates people into thinking this "for-profit" enterprise of his is providing a public service.

This is why he says things last week about how he'd leave. He creates the illusion that this is all done out of the goodness of his heart and the donations barely compensate him for the basic expenses. When people see that the exJW community is about to lose such a great philanthropist, you have what happened last week with the Patron spike.
